Jeremy Bowden
Born in England in 1959, I have drawn and painted for pleasure since my earliest years. Yet, my first chapter was written in the fast-paced world of air freight. After years as an operations director, I realised that the perpetual stress of the corporate world was overshadowing the simple joy of living.
Seeking a more authentic life, I moved to France to work with my hands and breathe the open air as a stonemason. I spent years renovating ancient estates, feeling history through the stone. When the physical demands of the trade eventually took their toll on my body, I returned to my first loves: my pens, my inks, and my watercolours.
Now, in my sixties, I devote my life to exploring nuances and atmospheres. With a collection of over 400 pieces, I have selected these 70 works for this digital gallery to share my vision with you. While my mobility may now be limited, the internet allows me to reach out to the public, wherever they may be, to share this visual poetry that knows no borders.
